Our Dental Team
At Southside Dental Care, our team consists of highly skilled individuals who all share a common goal; to deliver excellence through professionalism, knowledge and teamwork.
Our dedicated and friendly staff will ensure you are made to feel comfortable and welcome at our practice and that you have a clear understanding of your treatment process. To help achieve this, our staff speak a variety of languages including: English, Swedish, French, Dutch, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Urdu and Farsi. Our staff are also CRB checked and have BLS (Basic Life Support) training.
Dr Alex Rahbar GDC 81450
Alex has been the Principal Dentist at Southside Dental Care since 2004. Dr Rahbar is qualified DDS from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in 2000. He joined MSc programme in Restorative and cosmetic dentistry at Royal College Of Surgeons in London in 2009-10. He is a member of British Dental Association and a member of Facuty of General Dental Practitioners. He actively joins World conferences in Aesthetic and restorative dentistry. His aim is to give your smile back in the quickest and cheapest way.
Dr Mojgan Akbari
My name is Mojgan Akbari. I have recently joined SDC. I qualified from Tehran University in 1992 and re qualified from King's College in 2004. I have been working as an associate in few surgeries since then. I have great passion for different fields in dentistry and have completed few courses on Aesthetics, Filler and Botox and Invisalign. I have been attending new courses each year to up to date myself with the changes in dentistry. I like to work with children and senior members of the family.
Miss Valerie Edionseri (Head Nurse)
Valerie joined the practice in 2013 as a senior receptionist and then went on to qualify as a dental nurse and is now our Head Nurse at Southside Dental Care. She has a very enduring approach to her role and is valued by her colleagues and all the patients. With her warm and friendly approach she always ensures that the highest standards are practiced by all the nurses and all duties and processes are CQC compliant. Her other duties also involve managing reception, she keeps up to date with the changes in dentistry and regularly attends courses and meetings including, health and safety and basic life support. She is very initiative, bringing new ideas and methods to our team.
Miss Tanya Maria Gallyot B.Sc, DipDH, DipDT RCS (Eng) GDC Reg: 243250 (Dental Hygienist and Therapist)
Tanya obtained her double diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the Royal College of Surgeons, England in 2016 after being a flight attendant for over 10 years. She is passionate about her work and has a strong team ethic. She helps patients control and manage factors that cause gum disease as well as working with patients to improve habits around their oral health.
Mrs Leila Evinipoor (CQC Registered Manger)
Leila started her role as CQC Registered Manager at Southside Dental Care in 2016 with a degree in postgraduate course in Strategic Leadership and Management; and many years of business management experience. Her objective is to ensure that all the services being provided by the practice are compliant with the regulations and guidance, and all the protocols are followed. Leila aims to make a sustainable improvement in the quality of service delivery, align with the practice strategy, goals and values.
Miss Isabelle Mele (Practice Manager)
Isabelle joined our practice in 2007 as ‘Practice Manager’ with degrees in management and customer care. She has a meticulous approach to her role and thus provides her colleagues and our patients with an optimum service. She is a solution finder and as such, always ensures that a problem is sorted with minimal disruption and inconvenience to both the practice and patients.
As well as our members outlined above, we also have 3 qualified nurses and one qualified receptionist.
